With troubles in Europe's East only getting worse after Sochi, Damon Wilson will focus on what's happening on the frontiers of freedom in Europe and Eurasia, why this matters to the U.S., and what the U.S. strategy on Europe’s East should be.
Damon Wilson is executive vice president of the Atlantic Council. His areas of expertise include NATO, transatlantic relations, Central and Eastern Europe, and national security issues. From 2007 to 2009, Wilson served as special assistant to the president and senior director for European affairs at the National Security Council. He played a leading role in developing and coordinating US government efforts to work with Europe on global challenges. He managed interagency policy on NATO, the European Union, Georgia, Ukraine, the Balkans, Eurasian energy security, and Turkey, and planned numerous presidential visits to Europe, including US-European Union and NATO summits.
The cost of attendance is $25 for non-members, and $15 for members of CCWA. Attendees should RSVP via CCWA's website or by contacting Sue Gundich at 216-781-3730.
