On Saturday, May 3, NORVA members and friends gathered for our Annual Meeting and send-off party.
Peace Corps recruiter Kyle Carter shared updates from the agency, and the NORVA board reviewed accomplishments from the last year and provided a financial summary. The board was pleased to announce a $250 grant made to the Moldova Country Fund in honor of outgoing NORVA president Deb Sesek, recognizing her leadership and dedication. The board also welcomed new leadership, electing Kristi Tabaj as incoming co-president.
Following the business meeting, we hosted a send-off gathering for soon-to-depart Peace Corps nominees. Thank you to everyone who joined us, despite the rainy weather. It was a pleasure to reconnect with other RPCVs and meet the next generation of Peace Corps volunteers.
