Peace Corps Week celebrates President Kennedy's establishment of the Peace Corps on March 1, 1961, and all the ways Peace Corps service makes a difference abroad and at home, and for the thousands of Volunteers who have served. Attend this event to learn more about why Peace Corps needs you to be part of the next generation to promote global peace and friendship.
All are welcome to attend this Peace Corps information session being hosted in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, Inc. Omega Chapter. Peace Corps partners with AKA to increase service opportunities for more Americans. AKA Keisha Herbert, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Guatemala, will be the key note speaker. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities Peace Corps provides to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime, then this is the event for you.
