Are you looking for an audience for your Peace Corps stories? Here’s your chance for your 5 minutes of fame! Peace Corps is hosting two story slams in August and we need you to participate. This is not a competition; it is a chance to inspire others and entertain. This event is open to the general public.

When and where

• Tuesday, 8/5 at 5:30 pm in Cleveland, Carnegie West Branch of Cleveland Public Library, 1900 Fulton Rd.
• Monday, 8/11 at 5:30 pm in Akron, Highland Square Branch of the Akron Summit County Library, 807 W. Market St.

Rules

• Storytellers must be RPCVs
• Stories must be 5 minutes or less and relate to the theme
• The story must be true, at least from the perspective of the story teller
• Stories should make the audience laugh, think, or take action (imagine if you inspired someone to become a PCV!)
• Notes are not allowed
